Bromley commenced the process of returning pathology (blood) testing back to Synnovis on Tuesday 17th September, as Synnovis have now completed the rebuild of their laboratory systems, following the cyber attack on 3rd June. Since June, “Mutual Aid” from other NHS pathology providers has been provided to enable urgent and high priority blood testing, whilst Synnovis rebuilt their laboratory systems.
This is encouraging news as this process brings us even closer to being able to run a full Phlebotomy service once more for our valued patients in Bromley.
However, whilst this transition back to Synnovis takes place, only those who have been categorised as high or medium priority can book a blood test. Therefore, routine phlebotomy remains suspended. We hope that in the coming weeks, we will be able to provide a full service, once this process has been completed successfully.
