The Bromley GP Alliance Community dermatology service provides assessment, treatment, advice and support for a wide range of skin (dermatological) conditions. We offer a range of appointments which include day time, evenings and weekends.
The service is provided for those Bromley residents registered with a Bromley GP. It allows patients to be seen and managed in one of our two community settings. Appointments for this service are available much earlier than would be possible if the referral went to a hospital. Complex and potentially malignant (skin cancer) condition are not suitable for this service and will continue to be directed to a specialist hospital clinic.
You will be seen by a GP with a specialist interest (GPwSI) in dermatology.
Our GPwSI are able to treat most skin conditions, including eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis, unusual rashes and including those that require a biopsy first but on occasion may have to refer the patient on to a specialist hospital clinic. We will do this for the patient without sending the patient back to their GP. The patient’s GP will be kept fully informed of the management and or onward referral.
How do I get an appointment?
All appointments are made through the NHS Electronic Referral Service (ERS). In order to get a referral you will need to see your registered GP who will decide if it is clinically necessary and if the Community Dermatology Service is the most appropriate service available for your condition. You will then be able to choose your location and an available time and date to suit you.
