Community Dermatology Service

The Bromley GP Alliance Community Dermatology service provides assessment, treatment, advice and support for a wide range of skin (dermatological) conditions. We offer a range of appointments including day time, evenings, and weekends.
The service is accessible to Bromley residents who are registered with a Bromley GP. It allows patients to be seen and managed in one of our two community settings.ย ย Appointments for this service are arranged much sooner than would be possible if the referral went to a hospital. Complex and potentially malignant (skin cancer) conditions are not suitable for this service and will continue to be directed to a specialist hospital clinic.
You will be seen by a General Practitioner with an Extended Role (GPwER) in Dermatology.
Our GPwER team are able to treat most skin conditions, including:
- Eczema
- Dermatitis
- Psoriasis
- Unusual rashes and including those that require a biopsy first.
On occasion, the GPwER may have to refer the patient to a specialist hospital clinic. We will do this for the patient without sending the patient back to their GP. The patientโs GP will be kept fully informed of the management and or any onward referral.
How do I get an appointment?
All appointments are made through the NHS Electronic Referral Service (ERS). In order to get a referral, you will need to see your GP who will decide if it is clinically necessary and if the Community Dermatology Service is the most appropriate service for your condition. You will then be able to choose your location and an available time and date to suit you.
